In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an special katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
